The recipient of the Padma Shri and Arjuna Award, Deepika Kumari is an Indian archer who represents India in the women’s individual and team recurve events. She came to the spotlight when she secured a Gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth games in both women’s individual and team recurve events.

Currently, she is ranked World No1. in archery. Currently, she hit the headlines as he is a part of the Indian contingent being sent for the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

As per her career, she entered Arjun Archery Academy in 2005 and after that, she joined the Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur in 2006. She won the Cadet World Championship title in November 2009.

At the Commonwealth Games in 2010, she won two gold medals in the individual event and the other in the women’s team recurve event. She won her first World Cup individual stage recurve gold medal in 2012. She lost in the opening round in the London Olympics 2012.
